looks like Chicago

23 days until Chicago!
Lollapalooza is in less than a month! So I’d thought I’d post some pictures I took last year at the festival to reminisce and get excited for this year’s one. What makes lala great is:
1) the lineup. there are so many big acts that it’s hard to chose who to see.
2) less crowded than other festivals. because of the lineup the crowd is spread apart, meaning shorter bathroom lines and shorter concession lines. also, there are virtually no water lines which makes it easier to quench your thirst for free.
3) the venue. located in Grant Park, for every concert you are either standing on concrete or trimmed grass. only one of the venues is somewhat in the dirt/sand, but everything else is clean enough to sit down on without a blanket.
4) the weather—let’s face it, nobody wants to be standing in shadeless 90 F heat all day. at lala there is plenty of shade for resting.
5) DJ Perry’s tent.—the best place on earth. not only is it shaded (a good place to rest), but it plays dubstep/rap/techno/electro music NON-STOP all day long. if you get caught in this tent you might not make it out to see the other shows you wanted to see (because it is that awesome). at night when bigger acts come on people start to rave hardcore.
6) the crowd—good looking and friendly. eye candy lurks everywhere.
Welp, August 5th can’t come soon enough!
